Assistant Director

What kind of change do you hope to create in your community or in the world? Why are you passionate about this? How has your personal story led you to this passion?
I truly believe the words of Gandhi "Be the change you want to see in the world." Every day my goal is to be that change through my work with my students. The only way to change our community is to work from the inside with our young people. If we can get them to see how significant their voice is, then we can empower them to affect change in our society.

Hey pretty & intelligent lady! How are you? I have to throw "intelligent" in there 1, because you are and 2, because Camilla says "you don't want people to just rely on looking good". She's so crazy but I love her! Anyway, glad to hear from you and to know that you'll be home for Mother's Day. I should be around, if we don't go to DC to see my in-laws. Holla at me the week before you come home just to checkin with a brother. Looking forward to reconnecting. Are you going to CES conference? I'm going to pass on this one. I have to be in St. Louis for a meeting on the 15-16 and I don't want to be away from home too long. You know my motto: "Happy Wife. Happy Life." Please tell my man Del I said what's up.

Peace,
IE

God's Daughter, what's good sis? How are you? I'm still salty about not getting a chance to connect with you and your brethren over the holidays. Please don't sneak into town and not let a brother know you're around. I definitely want to stay connected.

So Camilla's out there putting my name in the streets huh? Me & her are gonna have to have a discourse III freestyle battle. ;-) Just kidding of course. I promise you that's my other mother if I've ever had one. I love that woman. She's too good to me. I plan on seeing her next week. How's Del? Please tell him I said what's up. I'llholla at him on his SG page too. Thanks for jumping off the courageous conversation. Kyle Meador told me to check it out. We love the energy you're bringing up in this community. Please keep it coming.

Peace
Isaac

God's Dawta, what's up? How you gonna try and sneak up in here like I wasn't gonna peep you? And on top of that, you up in here trying to be deep, talkin' bout: "The only way to change our community is to work from the inside with our young people. If we can get them to see how significant their voice is, then we can empower them to affect change in our society." That's what's up! Seriously though, you know I'm too excited to have you up in here. Like I told Del, it was so good to finally connect with you. I look forward to figuring out how we can work together. Will you be in Philly for Thanksgiving? If so, holla at me. I'll be in DC Thurs & Friday but back for the weekend. Let us know if you'll be around.

Peace,
Isaac

Maxwell: BLACKsummers’ Night

The best way to listen to Maxwell’s new “BLACKsummers’ Night” is with the volume turned all the way up. “I Want Michelle Obama Arms!”
