Something about me is that i am striving to change how this world works and how people in this world persue me n others. Im a communication major which is just a seed for what i would like to do and be. Starting out in journalism i wud like to write for a magazine or for a newspaper and change thngz on that scene. From there i will and wud like to build a name for myself and be famous as far as my name but as far az body and soul i wud like to be common. I wud like to dominate magazines and write black literature so that minority kids can have sumthn to read that is written by sum 1 of thier own race. I wud like to be a film director bc im tired of us recycling black and hispanic actresseses and actorz. We also need more asian actorz. I also think that we lack blk directors. I wud like to display my artwork all over in museums and i wud like to be an active political speaker. I think that by me makn money i can help those who need money and not even that. I cud also be a role model 2 them u dig. I just wanna c less poor families and more jobz. I wanna c equal opportunity. Im not goin 2 settle 4 less than i shud have. All that non sense that went on back n tha daay iz still goin on n im not turning n e shoulder. I may not have n e femalez 4 friendz or wuteva. but i just think that by me being a female and a black female i can really put a dent n dis world. It takes 1. The world is not ready for me but i thnk it shud be. When i began 2 spread all ova dis place ppl r goin 2 kno me n ppl r goin 2 c a change. ill be tha black angel with broken wings on dis earth...oopz i am tha Earth lol

Amerikkka has no culture..i do!ISLAM

things have changed like now im a psych major however my goals have not changed...im going to hit the community where it hurts and that is in the mind. Peace i am goin to build us up where they tore us down...with knowing who we are and keeping families together...i do not want to bore you just know that i am nothing to be reckoned with and one day you will know who i am...
What skills and resources do you currently have for your initiative? What are the current needs for your initiative?
skills and resources lol...first its going to be this degree i am striving for and also refining things i know, things ive learned...talking to people...i just have to find a way...
What kind of change do you hope to create in your community or in the world? Why are you passionate about this? How has your personal story led you to this passion?
Change...i want to make a change in the way we think...specially as young people...we are beautiful...we are intelligent...its sad and ironically beautiful that it took a black man becoming president for us to cee that. But we have to know that it starts with us...im so passsionate about this bc i know we can do it lol...i know we can walk around giving back to others or being comfortable with curly ringlets in our hair or stiff nina simones...i know that black men are capable of treating black women like Queens...i mean i know period that if the black community was more cohesive than one time out the year, we would be so much better...

my personal story is boring lol...i dont do anything dont smoke or drink party or club and i never have...my personal story is that of the original people...it is that of the struggle of the enslaved people then as well as now...

since i was 4 i knew the world was messed up...when i was four years old a white teacher told me i had misspelled my own last name..argued me up and down and told my mother that something was wrong with me...and my mom told her off and knew otherwise bc i had been reading writing and all that jazz since i was 3 almost four so what they were teaching i already knew...from that point on being so young i knew the world was not right...

im passionate man about a lotta things so like i said lol

i will not bore you

o and most definitely diseases in our cummunity but i will get on that later...lets be smart everyone

Sitting at the table doesn't make you a diner, unless you eat some of what's on that plate. Being here in America doesn't make you an American. Being born here in America doesn't make you an American.

"I'll say nothing against him. At one time the whites in the United States called him a racialist, and extremist, and a Communist. Then the Black Muslims came along and the whites thanked the Lord for Martin Luther King."

"But it does make the black people in this country who are jobless and unemployed and standing in the welfare line very much discouraged to see a government that can't solve our problem, can't provide job opportunities for us, and at the some time not only Cubans but Hungarians and every other type of white refugee imaginable can come to this country and get everything this government has to offer."

Maxwell: BLACKsummers’ Night

The best way to listen to Maxwell’s new “BLACKsummers’ Night” is with the volume turned all the way up. The R&B artist didn’t take a turn toward heavy metal during the eight years he’s spent between releasing albums; this one, like his previous three, is full of meditative jams written on the continuum between ardor [...]

The Girl Who Silenced the World for 5 Minutes

I believe that children our our future. Most people think Whitney Houston penned the lyrics to the timeless hit “The Greatest Love of All,” or that Randy Watson was the genius behind the words when he led the wildly-famous soul band “Sexual Chocolate.” Actually, the song was originally recorded by George Benson in 1977 for the [...]
