About Me:
I am originally from Philly. I am a graduate of Howard University in Washington DC where I majored in Music and minored in Business. I am an aspiring solo artist and I am writing my own music. I currently work with a new band in the area called the Rio and we mainly do weddings, private parties, barmitzphas, and corporate events. We are not from Rio but that is the name. We are all from the Philly area. I guess you can jokingly call me the wedding singer... I am looking to network with singers, musician, and producers. I like to do a lot mainly in the arts and I love to have fun. If you want to know more than send me a note...
Tag causes (the causes or issues you are most passionate about):
Music as an Agent for Social Change, Professional Development
Project or initiative you have started or would love to start:
I have started the Philadelphia Chapter of The Artists United. The Artists United Movement is building a community of, for, and by the People in the Entertainment Industry. The Artists United is A Company Created to Educate, Developed, Market and Promote people in the business. TAU provides countless opportunities to it's members and it's followers. Stay tuned for Upcoming Events, Classes, Artist Callings, Bookings, Newsletters, Entertainment News, Business Opportunities, Networking Events and much, much more!!
What skills and resources do you currently have for your initiative? What are the current needs for your initiative?
Well I do events and Entertainment Promotions. I am also an artist so I bring a lot into the company.
What kind of change do you hope to create in your community or in the world? Why are you passionate about this? How has your personal story led you to this passion?
The change we are bringing to the community is actually getting them to be resources and treat themselves as a business. I learned this early in life. I have my own company and I started in while in college. So I do things though my company and brand Philash Entertainment when I do things.

Twenty seven days before the Street/Katz election, am FBI bug was found in the mayor's office. The discovery of the bug at first seemed like a death knell to the Street campaign and a near certain victory for Katz. How did the mayor react to the bug? This powerful documentary shows how: drum up support by polarizing the electorate.

Maxwell: BLACKsummers’ Night

The best way to listen to Maxwell’s new “BLACKsummers’ Night” is with the volume turned all the way up. The R&B artist didn’t take a turn toward heavy metal during the eight years he’s spent between releasing albums; this one, like his previous three, is full of meditative jams written on the continuum between ardor [...]

K’Naan: Straight Outta Mogadishu

Straight Outta Mogadishu Somali-born rapper K’naan on African pirates and the world’s hardest ghetto. —By Eamon Kircher-Allen for Mother Jones K’naan’s music sounds a little like Eminem’s, if Slim Shady had spent his childhood dodging bullets in Somalia’s civil war. “I Want Michelle Obama Arms!”

She’s Pumped. Your Turn. By LIZ ROBBINS THE arms have taken on a life of their own. They have provoked controversy, envy, a bit of backlash, even bad puns about the right to bare them.
